WOW! This is one of the most unusual cakes I've ever seen? What's the dark coating? Chocolate, or??? And is that brittle around the bottom?

the dark coating is chocolate glaze, I put more gelatin in it so it'll get a glossy look.
And yes, those are almond brittles around the bottom.
Whenever I try to decorate a cake, I just throw whatever I have on to the cake.
And I happen to have a lot of nuts at the time , so this is the outcome of the cake.
